Heterodyne Privacy Policy

Heterodyne is a musical instrument app for Android. This app does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

Camera

Heterodyne requests camera access to track the position of your hand in the frame and turn it into sound — that's the whole point of the app. The camera image is processed only on your device, in real time, using a hand-tracking library (MediaPipe). Camera frames:

• are never recorded or saved on the device;
• never leave the device — they are not sent to Heterodyne or to any third-party services;
• are used solely to compute the hand's position in the current frame and are immediately discarded.

Accounts and personal data

The app does not require registration, sign-in, or any personal information. Heterodyne does not collect your name, email, location, contacts, or any other personal data.

Network and third-party services

Heterodyne contains no ads, analytics, or user tracking. The app does not send any data to developer servers — Heterodyne simply doesn't have any.

Some Android system components (part of the standard Google Jetpack libraries the app is built on) may declare network access as part of the platform's standard infrastructure — for example, for Google Play app performance optimization. This is unrelated to collecting or transmitting any of your data, including the camera image: the app never sends such data anywhere in the first place.

Changes to this policy

If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at the same address.
